Mühlanger, Falkenberg (Elster), Lutherstad-Wittenberg Labetz, Leipzig

I'm leaving Berlin for a while and heading to Leipzig
Großer Stern

Berlin Hbf
Just as it was anounced the upper level is closed for renovation
All regional and long-distance trains are now departing from the lower level
I'm on my way to Lutherstadt Wittenberg

Here I'm switching to the 6207 Węgliniec–Roßlau railway
This railway is busy today with trains from Poland and Czechia
Here is 383 018
Mühlanger
When I was here in 2021, the platform was located next to the former station building
Now it is rebuild, the platform is moved to the east, but the former station building is still here
Let's say it is not served as the station anymore

There are too many trains here; it is difficult to know which platform to use
I'm heading back northwest

Arriving at Leipzig

Dinner in the lounge at the hotel
I'm not done with trains for today, heading to Leipzig Plagwitz station
The railway to Großkorbertha is closed so the trains are diverted on this railway

Further ahead the line is non electrified so there are some diesel trains here

Walking back to the city centre

Westwerk Große Halle

The memorial at Felsenkeller (Karl-Heine-Straße 32, 04229 Leipzig) is a Memorial site commemorating seven young people who died here on April 18, 1945 – the day of Leipzig's liberation by US forces – during one of the last and senseless battles of the Second World War.
