Castillejo-Añover, Aranjuez, Seseña

Another day in Madrid, today I'm visiting Aranjuez.
Castillejo-Añover is a station south of Aranjuez, not served by any trains today. Until 2003, there was a branch line to Toledo with a stop for Media Distancia trains here.
Today, the tracks to Toledo are occupied with old freight wagons

The line to/from Valencia is served by many freight trains
253 008 and 253 062

Just as I'm leaving, there is a freight train approaching the station

Aranjuez station
The station is a terminus for Madrid Cercanias commuter trains and also a stop for Regional trains

Inside the station
Royal Palace of Aranjuez

Around the palace are the gardens with lovely walking routes

I'm back at the station, there is a new freight train here

Seseña station was closed for traffic in 2007, but is still accessible for trainspotting
