Captrain EspaƱa asked Spanish artist and designer Javier Mariscal to design the locomotive uniquely, celebrating the Mediterranean Corridor and rail traffic to France and Luxembourg.
This train was using the standard gauge line from Perpignan to Mollet, then switching on this line, which is a dual gauge railway, and continuing to the port of Barcelona.
On this line, freight trains from Cerbere/Port Bou also use the Iberian gauge.
