Göteborg

It's the middle of July, and it's time for my annual summer Interrail trip in Europe. This year is very different from all previous years as there is Covid-19 pandemic throughout the world. Nevertheless, I will try to go as far as to Sicily by train from Stockholm.

I'm taking a bus from my home to the train station
I decided to skip Denmark on the way down, as there is a mandatory quarantine for travelers coming from Sweden. It's supposed to be possible to make transit trips, but I'm not sure exactly how it's working on the train, and it was almost impossible to find any kind of information. So I'm taking a train to Göteborg and then a ferry to Germany,

I took MTRX train (not part of the Interrail). When traveling in 1st class, a meal is included

At Göteborg station I can spot a heritage train

As I had some hours between the train and the ferry, I took advantage of purchasing new shoes, as my old ones turned out to be broken.

A walk in the botanical garden

Stenpiren

I'm taking a tram to the ferry terminal
Then a short walk

This time I'm traveling in a more luxurious class

Cheers!

Keeping the distance at the only open bar at the ferry
