From King's Lynn to Dusseldorf

Today I'm traveling from King's Lynn in the UK to Dusseldorf in Germany, by train

King's Cross station in London

From King's Cross it's just to cross the road to St Pancras International station
Check-in for Eurostar train

During the pandemic, there have been fewer trains than usual. Also, there are strict rules for travel to Belgium and the Netherlands, so I'm taking the train to Paris first. At the time of this trip, France only required vaccination and no quarantine.

Although there are fewer trains than usual, this train is completely full (the photo is taken before all passengers are on board).
I'm traveling in famous Seat 61

Gare de Nord

I just have 2 hours in Paris before my next train, so I'm walking up to see the Sacré-Cœur

People are enjoying the view and nice weather

Paris has excellent bicycle tracks, as long as you don't have to turn left or right...
I've left my luggage at Citylocker next to Gare de Nord
After collecting my bag I'm waiting for the train and having a beer
My next train will take me all the way to Dusseldorf
Thalys PBA

Thalys PBA and PBKA trains

Thalys train is also full booked

Not as fancy as on Eurostar, but also nice with some complimentary snack and drink

After Brussels, there is another round of complimentary snack and drink

Arriving at Dusseldorf station
My hotel is located just north of Dusseldorf main station, so I'm taking the S-Bahn
