There are still some stations I haven't visited along the Southern main line, so today I'm travelling there.
Stockholm C in the morning
First, X2 train from Stockholm to Hässleholm
Freight train in Nässjö
Arriving to Hässleholm
Svensk Tågkraft TMX 1042
From Hässleholm I'm taking Krösatåg train 7558. X11 3188
10 min later I'm in Hästveda
The station here opened in 1860, the building is from 1868. Between 1975 and 2013 no trains were stopping here.
Train 75313 from Älmhult to Malmö
Green Cargo Td 378 and 389
Art project "Tracks"
"Waiting for" bench
The station is now a lunch restaurant "Lokmästaren"
Spring is in the air
Train 5613 Hallsberg-Malmö
Taking off on the side track
Train 3941 Snälltåget from Stockholm to Malmö
Siemens Vectron 193 254
Train 43348 from Malmö to Älmhult, operated by DBSRS
Bombardier Traxx AC2 185 336
Train 4300 Helsingborg-Skelleftehamn
2 hours later I'm continuing with train 7560 to Alvesta
In Alvesta I can spot two Transmontana six-axle locomotives
Mb 4001 and 4002 are the first Transmontana locomotives delivered to Green Cargo for SSAB freight services
Manufactured in 2018 by Softronic in Romania
Since Alvesta is not the primary destination for these locomotives, I'm assuming that they are still being tested. Hopefully we will see them in regular operation soon.
Book shop at the station, 20 SEK for each book. Payment only by Swish (Swedish mobile payment)
My next train is Krösatåg 17644 to Lammhult, operated with X14 3233
X14 3233 at Lammhult
Train 5611 from Hallsberg to Malmö
There are only 6 Rm locomotives, and today I have seen two of them, 1259 earlier in Hästveda, and now 1261 here in Lammhult. The 1259 is by the way the only one with green livery.
Bus stop in Lammhult
"Lammhult has a long tradition with making furniture, presently production by designer brands are Norrgavel and Lammhult among several. It has also large retail stores for furniture and such items." (Wikipedia)
X2 back to Stockholm
A longer stop in Norrköping (due to rail works ahead)
