Vikingstad, Linghem, Norsholm, Kimstad

After visiting Närke and Värmland, I'm heading to the Östergötland region to spot some trains.
Vikingstad station

Typical station building on this line is a so-called Boxholm model
Since Mjölby-Hallsberg line is closed this summer, the freight trains are rerouted here through Linköping and Norrköping

So, here is one coming

Br 5406 or 185 406

Labeled as D-GC, this locomotive is suitable for services to/from Germany, but I think they are in first place used on this line between Hallsberg and Malmö

The station has been changing names occasionally

Linghem

185 415 and the RRS train from Luleå/Umeå to Helsingborg

Mälartåg Linköping-Sala
SJ Intercity Gävle-Linköping

Norsholm is located on the Göta Kanal.
Södra stambanan railway has a bridge that can be opened for boats on the canal.

There is a railway crossing just near the bridge

There was once a station here, but it was closed in the 1970s. When Östgötapendeln commuter line opened in 1995, it was decided to not reopen the station here.
One of the 58 locks on the Göta Canal

It is possible to purchase a 6-day cruise between Stockholm and Göteborg, the price is about 6000 EUR

Kimstad

Coop storage center is now located near Eskilstuna, so this train is using this line on a regular basis
